Of CHRISTmas i.e why don't we pronounce the t, when we say chrsitmas.

It is difficult to pronounce the labial and dental sounds of m and t together wtihout a pause so it comes out krismaas .... my speechie wife would be proud of me!

maybe it is because the t is silent because of the m. I dont know, good question
