This question was posted by someone else yesterday, and there were some really good responses...unfortunately, it got deleted. I cried when I was typing my response..I just don't have the energy to retype it again....
But I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to share and hopefully eduate on the benefits and the bond that can be developed between dog and human by competing and/or earning titles..
So, which wins/titles are you most proud of with your dog(s)??

EDIT:
I soo don't understand the "thumbs down" on every answer that had a win or title...
Looks like there's someone that's a little jealous...

Well...I am proud of all of the titles I've put on each dog I've owned. I have to say, putting a Champion title on my dogs...especially my first one, was very rewarding. I was a novice showing my own dog amongst handlers and I finished her along with every one of my dogs championships all by myself...even putting a 5 point specialty major on one as well as finishing a dog I bred from the bred by class. I put a couple CD's on dogs as well and that was fun and gave me a feeling of accomplishment too because it took a lot of work.
I would say what made me the most proud was going through classes with my first champion and her becoming a therapy dog through the TOUCH program at the Support Dogs Inc. I'm not sure you can call TOUCH a title...but it took a lot of training and testing to be given the privilege of being a TOUCH dog. After that, we were qualified to visit hospitals to help either geriatric psych patients, head injured patients or cancer patients at one of the local Children's Hospitals. Of all the work I did with my dogs....this was the most rewarding and made me the most proud.

I have always wanted to get into confirmation, but was always just a spectator.
I have a red doberman female that everyone has been trying to talk me into showing.
We went to visit friends in Central FL, and there was a dog show that weekend. It was an International Dog Show. I got talked into giving it a whirl. Many other Doberman owners and/or handlers were so fantastic and gave me a few pointers. It was awesome!
Well, we both went in as Green horns, and finished the weekend out with 4 SG-1's, plus a Best Puppy in Class (under an AKC Working Breed judge)!
Oh yeah, and she was only 11 months at the time. So she did earn a Puppy Title. Even if she hadn't earned a title, I was still so proud of her. She did fantastic!

Another tear dripper sorry that question was deleted (AND WHAT was WRONG with it)
Sometimes a win or title is best measured by what came before......
With my own dog it was a lure coursing field championship earned in a comeback AFTER he developed Addison's disease - a potentially fatal chronic problem... His Joy on the first practice session I have called my best moment in dogs (and I doubt it'll be topped by a Westminster BOB even).
Another moment was watching a friends Westminster & national specilty BOB take a mear second in a vetrans class. It was her comeback after a bad accident that resulted in a spinal injury that threatened her very life. She entered the ring bouncing & leaping waist high - Yes the judge placed her second that day but she WON in ways far more important than can be measured by the color of a strip of silk.
I can think of several other titles taken only after much devotion and work by an owner (not always me) overcoming hurtles beyond the norm (the dog that took 5 years training to learn enough to earn a minor CR, the nervous rescue that held it togher to ALMOST qualify for a CD in a distracting show, the "hopelessly untrainable" rescue my sister took to the national agility finals)-even the smallest of them is a victory beyond description....
Yahoo please don't delete this question agian....
edit: PS did anyone notice EVERYONE who can name a win or title (even a minor one) got a thumbs down

I've thought about this, and oddly enough, I guess it would have to be the CD titles I've put on my Siberians.
Probably because it isn't easy to get a Siberian to be obedient, especially during the off-lead heeling! :)
It was a lot of hard work, some frustration and embarrassment, but in the end I had a dog who scored a 197.5 in Novice B, and I was so proud of him! True to Siberian fashion, he escaped his ex-pen shortly after we returned to the set-up, and I had to chase him around the show grounds until a ring steward caught him as he was running into the Brittany ring. *cough*
I will never forget that day. That was my first AKC champion, Pal (Am/Can Ch. Tamerlane's Carpe Diem CD, CGC) -- one of my heart dogs. He died of cancer at age 10.
*ISTA*, face it...you don't get it. This isn't about bragging. Am I proud because the dog has a shiny new title to add to his name? No. I am proud because of the work we did together, and the time I spent with that dog getting to the level that we did. Competing for titles is about TEAMWORK, not bragging rights. You might find yourself the charmingly catty "every pet owner", but you know not of what you speak.
Until you do, get off your pony.

BOO HOO HOO. I havent been able to compete with my dogs yet, we were going for agility and rally titles first. But unfortunate circumstances halted our training and ability to compete, as I had a REALLY bad car accident, my friend died and I took over the care of his dog which has put me in a huge $6,000 hole. So no money for these things right now. As soon as I do get back on my feet, I plan to continue our participation in these events and I'm sure that my dogs will excel in them and we will be able to move on to more competitive events. I thought about doing Shutzhund with my dogs but I dont think either of them have the drive or temperament for it. Alas if only they did, I have a wonderful trainer whose methods I like and who's own dogs are bred exclusively for this type of competition and most have their Sch III titles. Booo hopefully in a year or so I'll be able to answer this question with real titles to brag about. :(

I was a member of the
Greater Houston Boston Terrier Club in 1993. We had a female dog that went to New Jersey and 9 months later the guy called and said she would not show. We brought her back and discovered that she had evidently been stepped on. She weight 17 lbs and he was 6 feet tall! When you took her in the ring, she would drop her head and started watching your feet, it made her back look like a weiner dog. So I started working with her and it took about 6 months to get her past that and in 1993 She took Best of Breed. We were very proud!!!!

i haven't stored song somewhat. sufficient so as that once my storage unit became into broken into jointly as i became into shifting that the thieves stole quite a few cases of trophies and canine tchotchke that they had gained. None of my canine have controlled a maximum suitable in teach. I merely do no longer teach that lots. I teach ordinarily AKC and ordinarily, at super exhibits except i'm prepping a youthful canine. I confirmed one UKC weekend and ended up with some (3 or 4) team placements on the two canine i became into exhibiting and a Reserve maximum suitable in teach. a pair of obedience titles, a pair of agility titles, a pair of herding titles, a pair of BISS besides to the championships, team placements ... in spite of. I teach whilst i think like exhibiting yet my canine's familiar purpose is to artwork. exhibiting is incidental.

STILL....I am most proud of the working titles we have gotten. All of our Draft Dog, Water Dog, and Water Rescue Dog titles were the best.
Showing is fine, but I love it when the dog gets a title in something they were bred to do and excelled at it while they were doing it!!!!!!!!
Ista...you are a piece of work. Not everything on here is to EDUCATE. Some people want to talk about dogs and dog activities. If you don't do any, and don't want to....GREAT FOR YOU! Does that mean you have to dump on others? Makes you sound.....jealous!!!!!!

Advanced agility (4-H) with our German Shepherd, Snickers. Every other class I'd been in, I was the only person showing, so it was always an easy win. In the agility class, I was up against 6 other people, so I had to work for the win.
