Not only Asinine but incredibly cruel and immoral.

I can't understand how people are willing to accept it, without thinking through the moral implications that come as a result of eternal torture.

I could never worship a God who is willing to torture my kids fore eternity because they require tangible evidence and will not be led into the wrong belief of God by emotion and personal faith.

That God is immoral.

It is totally a pagan/catholic belief, and No Christian will dare believe such a lie as that! The Bible teaches us to study the Scriptures, and for those of us that actually do study (and I do not mean just to read or to use a prepared study guide) we know that 'hell' is the grave and that the second death is a day and an event not eternal as in never ending, but eternal as in until you have met the requirement of the Law, in how long the punishment (burning) will last, we also now that not only will your physical body be destroyed, but your breath of life, and also the very memory of you will be wiped out from every Saints memory, God will even wipe His own memory, that is why it is called Second death, the death from which there can be no resurrection. For those of us that keep/do the commandments of God, we do not have to worry about the second death, why? Because we are doing what God has said to do, we believe on His Son Jesus Christ, and we keep/do His commandments. But if you do not, then you have a fiery torment to look forward to.

A fiery hell, in itself, is not an asinine concept. there might well be some spiteful brutish god that would create such a place.

That an all knowing, all powerful sky pixie would put us there because he loves us so much - that is not asinine, it is beyond asinine. I can not think of a word to describe how ludicrous this concept is.

Hell is just one of the totally asinine concepts associated with Christianity. There are so many that I can't understand how anyone can buy into any of these myths.

I think it is. I imagine that a lot of people will disagree with me. I don't know that I've ever really tried to conceive of what either will be like except I do hope there is a beach involved.

It's truly sickening. Any god who would create such a place is not worthy of worship. Good thing all of it's imaginary.

Me! Any entity brilliant enough to design this infinite universe would not bother with such a petty mouse trap...

It's a ridiculously transparent claim, and how supposedly educated people can't see through it is beyond me.
