I'm sorry, but that just isn't ringing a bell! There are plenty of verses about kids in the Bible, verses about how children are an heritage from the Lord, a blessing from Him, but I don't know of one that says God lends them to us and then comes to take them away. I hope someone else is more helpful than me! LOL

Closest that I can think of is:

Job 1:20-21 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart. [a]
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."

Best I can think of is in Job 1:21, where following the death of his children by a storm, Job says, "The Lord gives and the Lord takes back. Blessed be the name of the Lord."

Of 2 Lords to compare: Law vs Grace,
you're talking about the Under-Taker.
The Lord of Lords is an Over-Giver.

Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

I haven't come across that. It may be a saying or poem, but I don't think it's actually in the Bible.
