as in, i have dreams in which i see my 'parents', but i am concious of the fact that in real life i wouldn't even recognise them. =S

Hm, well, it could be aspects of your higher intelligence presenting information as your parents in your dreams as authority figures, where they might not actually be your parents, they may be taking on a parental role in order to present information to you in the role of a higher authority.......
