They grow better under sunlight, but for those that need diffused lighting the indoor lighting will be just fine.

They grow under the sun much better because the sun provides energy to the plant and gives it nurtinents to it. The artificial light doesn't really help it because it really doesn't provide anything to it.

The plants require heat energy to prepare its meal .. electric and sun light either may surve the purpose. If a Botany expert could tell us what's the difference ...BUT in Japan or elsewhere plants are grwon as articles are manufactured in an industry shed / godown / building. Tiny drops of water is supplied on a tiny container filled with earth and electric bulbs foccussed on them. Any idea ?

some plants need alot of light some dont but natural light is the best for your plants, artificial light makes them grow stalky and fall over easy

Artificial light if you know what you're doing since the sun can be inconsistent due to cloud cover.
EDIT:
You guys do realize that you can get thermal plant lights that due the exact same thing as the sun right?

Sunlight. Sunlight supplies vitamins like D while artificial light does no such thing. Let alone warmth, etc.

It depends. Most plants grow better under natural sunlight, but I think I've heard that Cannibus grows better under strong electric light as long as there is a cooling fan.

If they are full sun plants they need sun light or a full spectrum light.
