You were moving out in less than 3 days and your psycho roommate (who never lifts a finger to clean) started screaming at you to clean before you leave?
I have been through so much crap with this guy (not my boyfriend, just a roommate) and I clean the house every week and he never cleaned anything, left his messes for me and he has the audacity to yell at me like I am his slave. I am going to leave the house how he left it and clean my area, of course.
What would you do?????

Clean your area of responsibility, then call a sheriff or other law enforcement official and explain that you need protected assistance in getting away from that piece of crap you have for a room mate (Please, people, no thumbs down, we're all in agreement this guy is a $h**head.) Next, visit the local courthouse and have AN ORDER OF PROTECTION TAKEN OUT AGAINST HIM, THAT IF HE COMES WITHIN 1000 YARDS OF YOU HE WILL BE VIOLATING THE ORDER OF PROTECTION AND WILL BE ARRESTED. PERIOD. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THAT.......Good Luck......

What is he going to do sue you? Tell him to stick it! Don't make an intentional mess, but I wouldn't specifically clean. He is just unhappy that you are moving out and realizes that he will now have all the responsibility for his environment. Not to mention he will probably be unsuccessful finding a roomate / house keeper to take your place. Chances are whatever you leave out of place will stay out of place for months. Lazy people know that if they wait long enough and pretend to be oblivious to their surroundings someone they live with, (wife, husband, mother, brother, sister, roomate) will do the cleaning. You fit right into that catagory, try not to let that happen again, don't be the responsible for everything person, unless you live alone.

Don't worry about the deposit. It's not worth it. If you can, talk to the landlord and see if you can work out your half....but if not, let it go and don't let it bother you.
Clean your side (for the sake of the landlord) and get out.
Be safe....Christopher gives good advice about getting protection if you need it. Maybe even have a couple of male friends come with you when you move out!

If you have paid a deposit and want it back, you'd better clean. If not, then leave things the way they are along with a letter explaining yourself to the jerk! Congrats on moving away from a a#@ H*!$ like him. Merry Christmas to you!!!!

Get a hotel for a couple of nights and get the hell away from him, after cleaning up any messes I made.

i think as long as you clean your mess you're in the clear. if you haven't clean yet, just take pictures of how it looked and then take pictures of what you cleaned just in case he decides to do something legally, although unless there's damage to anything i don't think he can do anything anyway. but just to be safe.

I'd ignore him... clean your room, and leave it at that... he's likely hoping that if you clean, it will last him a good long time.. lol
