commanded to come out?
In Matthew 24:15, 16 we read, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"
**The abomination of desolation is satan. The "holy place" is where God was at one time...ex. the Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, the church... God departed from all these because the people went after other gods.
Judaea, Jerusalem, Temple, Judah, are all metaphors for the local church.
"Mountains" is a metaphor for the Lord...ex...."1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." (Psalms 121:1, 2).
In addition we read in 2 Thessalonians 2 we read, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
In Revealtion 18:4 God says, "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
The churches are Mystery Babylon the Great Harlot....! Notice in Revelation 18:4 God commands His people to come out of "her". Her is all the local chruches!

smiley--most churches use a man-made hermeneutic...ie. method of Bible interpretation. That is why they do not have the truth! When your church tells you that you can be saved by confessing Jesus or being baptized in water or speaking in tongues...these are lies! The Lord warned the early churches in Galatians 1 to watch out for "another gospel." This "easy believism gospel" is precisely what is being preached today in all the churches! This is the "lie" that the Lord speaks of in 2 Thessalonians 2. Take a look at Matthew 7:21-23. There are going to be many people on that day saying Lord, Lord did we not do many mighty works..... And He will reply, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity. In Revelation 1 + 2 we see that even the "early" churches were falling away from the truth....and that was just 60 years after Christ returned to heaven. I am trying to help you....but just as the Jews in Jeremiah's days would not listen, so are the church meembers today...

Tessa--do you think you are wiser than God? Do you think that your will is going to change God's plan? I suggest that you start reading the Bible and asking the question.....Am I really saved? Am I really ready to obey everything that the Lord commands me to do even if it means being ridiculed or mocked? Am I more concerned with what people think about me or what God know about me? Incidently, the Bible is the authority....not your church! I suggest you check out www.FamilyRadio.com. I hope this will help you.
