Obviously, you will never get rifle type accuracy with a pistol. At what distance were the targets? What type of group were you getting?
You can't expect to be an expert the first time out. It takes practice and knowledge of that particular weapon to use it to the best of your abilities. If your are looking for simple tips on how to shoot better, you can do a few things.
1) Make sure you have proper sight alignment and sight picture. Sight alignment would be aligning your body with the target properly. If you are properly aligned, you can point the weapon at the target, close your eyes for a few seconds and when you open your eyes, the weapon will still be on target. Proper sight picture would be aligning the front and rear sight so that the top of the blade of the front sight matches the top of the blades on the rear sight. Once these are aligned properly, you can choose your aiming point based on how far away you are from the target. The last focus of your eye should be on the front sight post even if the bullseye appears a little fuzzy.
2) Practice enough to get proper sight alignment, sight picture and aiming point quickly as the weight of the weapon will start to strain your arms, pulling you off target. If you are have trouble sighting in, put the weapon down and relax a minute before trying again.
3) Be sure to ease onto the trigger. Use a smooth, steady pull rather than a quick pull. Don't try to anticipate when the round will go off. If you try to anticipate the shot, you will jerk the trigger and the round will be off target.
4) Use proper breath control. Take a deep breath, let out half, make your shot and exhale.
5) Practice, practice, practice. Good markmanship takes lots of practice. Pay attention to what happens when you make a bad shot and use that info to try something a little different on your next shot. If you want to get fancy, you can keep a shooter's log for each shot. So you can stay focused, you may have a spotter call out the shot info for you to write in your log.
The mechanics of being able to shoot well, just like playing golf well, can be taught but practice is the key. Don't ever expect to hit all bulls your first time out with a new weapon. Above everything else, keep the muzzle downrange at all times. Practice some more and don't be a safety violator. Before long, you'll be hitting bulls every time. Once you get it in the black, you can start working on group size.
One more thing you might try: forget everything you learned in the Army and find a Marine to teach you how to shoot. We've always been the best marksmen. lol

RE:
How can I improve my accuracy shooting a Glock 21 .45 ACP?
My friend just got a new Glock 21 handgun and last week we went to the range to break it in. This is the largest caliber handgun I have ever fired and my aim was lousy. I tried to apply what I learned in the Army about firing an M16 to this handgun and still my accuracy was poor. I would...

Firing a pistol is different from a rifle because of the sight radius. The best way to improve is to ask someone at the range to observe what you do while shooting. That way they can see if you are flinching or your grip is not right or some other small thing that can have a large impact on your accuracy. It would not be a bad idea to ask for instruction if your range offers it. Even those of us who have been shooting a long time can often benefit from practicing basic procedures and having an outside observer from time to time. You could be subconsciously be reacting to the fact that "this is the largest caliber" you have ever fired.

Like the other person mentioned, have somebody knowledgable watch you shoot, to see what you're doing wrong.
Glocks can be difficult to shoot accurately because of their weird trigger pull. Don't wrap too much of your finger around the trigger. Try using just the tip, or a small amount of the first pad. I was all over the paper with a G17, and using the above technique helped a great deal.

You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day.
You can check this method based on a scientific researches : ( http://getyourvisionbacknow.keysolve.net )
If glasses are worn continuously over time the poor vision will generally become worse. Essentially what glasses do is lock the eyes into their refractive state and in order to see through your lenses you have to maintain the poor vision that the lenses are designed to correct.
"Restore my vision” program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution.
Even the American Optometric Association has been forced to admit these things! I'm sure that you will not regret your decision.

The single biggest mistake I see people make when shooting a handgun is they take there eye off the front site. Align your sights on the target then concentrate on the front sight picture and squeeze. Practice as much as you can afford and remember very few people are natural born marksmen. After 10,000 rounds you'll be amazed at how well you can shoot.

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/73ed3
