everybody is equal before law. but somebody is more equal.our mind has been conditioned to accept an inferior position of women in society.unless there is a change of our mindset women will allways be treated inferior before the law.

Yes, and men too. I am not sure what area you are concerned with, but women are protected. As far as divorce, I suspect it varies from state to state what protection they get. Criminally they are very protected.
