Im seriously interested in purchasing a used 2006 Maxima SL and after doing some research on reliability and safety for the 04-06 (only ones w/ 5sp auto) I found a recall regarding the rear subframe that could fail on the 06. It stated that dealers inspected potential cars and replaced parts "as needed". I dont want to waste my time calling nissan. Please help! The dealer that has the car will not hold the car for me. Has anyone had to deal w/ this recall?

Corrosion in rust states affected the rear subframe mounts if the car is at a Nissan Dealership the Recall has to be done before they can delever it. Mostly something you want to have checked and it will be covered to any one who ownes the car. And get the seat Lumbar switch wire recall done...

Any official recall by the manufacturer should be fixed by an authorized dealer, free of charge to the owner.

The dealer has to fix that car's recall. If you like that car, tell them you'll buy it and have them fix the recall at the same time.
