lts work that out. 6k a month. you own mortgage a 300k or 400k house for 15 years at around 2k a month. so now you have 4k left. you have a car. say a good car. you pay 800 a month and with insurance lets make it an even 1k. you now have 3k left. you got to eat right. you live luxiours so you spend maybe 200 a week eating out. thats 800 a month. (you have now 2.2k left for the month. now you have groceries to buy to stock up the pantry. say you spend 100 bucks a week for groceries.(soda, juice, fruit, chips, frozen stuff, you know the usual) that 400 bucks in that month. now your down to 1.8k. If you are like my gf, she shops every week. spends probably 100 bucks easy on clothes and shoes(she buys on sale and not into the fancy junk. old navy, gap, banana, club monaco, stuff like that, o and shoes) but thats not a weekly thing but its almost a weekly thing. so lets be nice and say you spend 100 for the whole month on clothes and shoes. so we have 1.7k. Now you have a nice big house. electricty, 200 to 300 depending on the time of year, tv, internet, water, utiilites. so lets say that all equalls 150 bucks. 80 for cable and intenet and the rest for water, utilites, and the rest of the stuff. so we are down to around 1.4k or something like that. So 1.4k x 12 months = 16800 you have saved for a whole year if you put that 1.4k into your savings. luxirous, no. comfortable probably. Now granted I never factored in emergency money or other bills. Those are just house bills and car insurance payments. If you got school loans to pay back, more than 2 cars, children that have needs with clothes and food and toys. And whatever else i can't think of at the moment. You still have a few hundred to a grand left after each month. but its not enough to buy you a mansion or wear versace underwear.. hahah.

Guess it all depends on what you mean by luxurious. Does it include a large home, cars, shopping, children etc. If you are thinking of a L.A (California) or New York City life, then NO it probably wouldn't be enough to live like that. But I sure could live a nice lifestyle here in the U.S. on $6000 a month. I'm not too picky!

I would say that's above average and it would depend on whether you are single, where you live, and what your definition of luxurious is. Some people can own a huge home, two newer cars, take a couple of vacations a year and go shopping/dinner/entertainment on a weekly basis and to me, that IS luxurious but to them, they're just getting by and they wish for more.

Conquering New York in one single visit is impossible because is a big city like you'll discover with Hotelbye . In New York you will see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and much more. Empire State Building helps it be worth braving the long lines, steep solution rates and dizzying levels to see the town from a premier this storied building. Built-in 1931, the skyscraper is the second-tallest developing in New York and is one of the very immediate icons of Gotham, therefore much in order that it's performed a part in films such as King Kong, An Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle.

That would be a middle class salary. Whether you could live luxuriously would depend on WHERE in the U.S. you lived, cost of living varies so much between cities. Also, whether you were married/had kids. For example - In New York City, it would be just enough to live, in Rochester, NY, you'd be quite comfortable.
If you are married and this is your only income, you'd still have to budget.

Hardly luxurious.
Federal Taxes will take a chunk, depending on your dependents and/or deductions. You might take home 50K or so.
Then there are State income taxes, sales tax, licenses for auto, insurance needs.
I'm in Texas, no state income tax. State Sales tax, 6.25%, plus 1% in most cities, plus 1% for Transit in some cities.
Some of our congressmen think that much income is wealthy.
That is somewhat above average. 25K to 40K, might be considered average. Haven't researched that. Poverty level is considered less than 10K, per year. Not much to live on with that.

You can live on it, but not luxuriously. You'd need about twice that amount to really have luxury. And that would just be low end luxury, really. Real luxury starts around $300k per year, or 25,000 per month.

Mexico City (Ciudad de México) is the capital of Mexico and an incredible town surrounded by grand mountain ranges. To see this city you are able to choose the best choice hotelbye . The city's site is certainly breathtaking. Two spectacular snow-covered volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, tower over it using their more of 5,000 meters. Mexico City also preserves numerous reminders of their past and those are items that entice the tourists. The beating center of Mexico City is Zócalo - the Plaza de la Constitución (Constitution Square) - where the country's first constitution was proclaimed in 1813 and now is one of the very visited host to Mexico City since it's one of many world's greatest squares. In Mexico City you may also visit: the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Templo Mayor.

It depends on where you live. If you are single, $6k per month is a good income, but I would not term it luxurious by any means. It amounts to an annual income of $72,000. It is what is known here as "comfortable" in many areas. It is not enough, however if you want to live comfortably in expensive metropolitan areas such as Manhattan.

I live in the south where everything is super cheap and I had a good year making $80,000 and man I felt like a millionaire being single. I hope to reach that amount of money or more again since after all of my bills paid and a shopping spree buying everything I like I still had thousands of dollars left over and by that time another large paycheck got deposited in my account.
