I've been angry at God for years letting me suffer with autism. I've been depressed for about 9 years. I don't have any friends or supportive parents. I have so many questions about God and everything else in the world that only God can answer. Although Christians say that God is fair, I don't think He's being fair to me at all. There are so many non-Christians that do so well in their life without God. There's this girl in my class who's an opened atheist. She's a happy rich girl who has it all. She has all those expensive materialistic stuff. She doesn't have difficulty in anything. She has good grades (she didn't cheat at all) and has a lot of talent in art ! And as for her personal life, she kind of sleeps around. So I don't understand why God is letting her have such a good life while He's letting me suffer. God doesn't seem to be punishing her at all for her sins. So why is she having such a good life while she sins all she wants and I have nothing but suffer from autism?

If you're a Christian or if you know the answers, please help me out. And if you can't answer my questions and want to joke around and say negative things, please don't post in here!

If you have nothing nice to say, don't post in here! I don't want to hear any insults and I don't want to hear anything like "there's no god" or whatever.

To those that don't believe in God's existence, I respect that. But if you wanna post in here, please don't waste the space by posting saying there's no god or anything else that doesn't answer my questions. I'm looking for answers from Christians.

There is God's will and then there's free will. If we abide by Gods laws and pray then we can use our free will to follow God, but if we don't then all we are doing is using our free will. God wants us to follow and love Him, He does not force us, it's our choice. Many people are afflicted with various diseases and conditions daily, it's what we do with that that makes a difference in this world. Study hard, learn more about your condition, be a light of hope to others out there with Autism. As far as that girl in your school goes, she can't take any of that stuff with her. Our life time here on earth is like the blink of an eye for God. When you're in heaven with God you're praising and worshiping His infinite glory, not worrying about all of the things that you didn't have, I'll be praying for you, God bless you!

I agree with Oregon Flower--only God can decide who is deserving and undeserving, because only He knows everyone's hearts. Atheists may appear happy in this life, but that's all they'll ever have. As a Christian, if you are really coveting the things this girl and others like her have, I urge you with utmost sincerity to re-evaluate your priorities. Also, God is not fair (can't imagine who would tell you this)--although He is just--fairness being a strictly human concept (what's seems fair to one might seem very unfair to another based on different points of view, while true justice is always a constant). Despite your troubles, try (if you can) to glory in the fact that God has chosen you--He'll never give you more than you can bear, and will always be looking out for your good if you love Him, no matter what it may seem like or whether you can understand it or not. I don't mean to trivialize in any way what you must be going through. I have a great Christian friend who tragically suffers from bi-polar disorder (and other conditions). His family is also (while physically supportive) not a good influence upon his faith; he's been through so much, and yet (because of what he's been through) what a powerful and convincing witness he is to the love of Jesus and how it can change your life. And I am convinced that if you take up your cross and continue to follow Him, you can be just as effective as he is. This is our mission isn't it? Surrendering our rights to comfort (and even fairness) so that others may come to know Him? Persevere and run the race set before you so that you may take hold of the prize that awaits you at the finish. God be with you and you are in my prayers. ;-)

Have you read the story of Job? God allowed Satan to take Job's family, his wealth, his health, and his happiness. Job trusted that God had a greater purpose and never lost his faith. In the end, Job was given a new family, more wealth than he'd had before... Everything he lost was returned to him.

Your problem reminds me of that story. Bad things do happen to good people... I don't feel that I deserve half the bad things that have happened to me. But the important thing is that you don't doubt God's plan for you. If you can endure these hard times and keep your faith, the rewards will be great, in this world and the next. You could marry a rich doctor who has made a breakthrough in the study of autism!

As for the Atheist girl.. She may seem happy now, but she will suffer for it eventually. She's sleeping around? She could get any number of STD's... She could end up pregnant and disowned by her family... She could hit some hard times and loose all her wealth... She could injure her hands and never be able to make art again...

Just remember to never give up!! Things may be hard now but I am certain that they will get better!!!!!

Even Aristotle had the answer to this : Don't judge a life until it's over. Which the Bible also says. As for happy atheists, at least the Psalms say that they are being given their happiness here because they won't have it later. But all these things involve God so who can say. Ultimately it depends on whether you believe God can and will 'wipe away every tear'. I am not being academic, my wife is like you only she is deaf and diabetic. So I've lived with the question. I got my views from her.

Instead of complaining about what you don't have and coveting what some one else dose be patient with GOD and keep your Faith and your reward will be greater than anything of this life GOD tells us don't live for this life and waste your time building up what is only your until you die, but live this life so that you will obtain the promises of GOD in the after life. God says for where your treasure are there will be your heart also. so if you have all you want here your heart is going to love the earth and the materialistic and you'll be blinded to receive the Gifts GOD has awaiting you In heaven. I also know complaining doesn't work with GOD. pray spiritually and believe that GOD is going to answer your prayers keep your faith and be patient with GODS answer .

The bible teaches us that God rains on the just and on the unjust. So while it may seem as though the evil are being blessed, the bible states that their time is short. Also, God knows the end of a person. The girl of whom you speak, may one day be a great Christian, only God knows that, you don't.

(Psalms 147:11) teaches us that God takes pleasure in them that fear him. Do you fear God, or do you just expect him to serve you and give you things you desire? God is not our slave, we are his. The sixth chapter of Matthew teaches us that God clothes the lilies of the field, which is cast into the oven tomorrow, how much more shall he clothe you? The problem is not with God, but with you. You appear to be coveting what others have, and want to be like others. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Only God knows who deserves and who does not, dear one. We know that "the rain falls on the just and the unjust." So actually, "deserving," has nothing to do with it.

God knows you are struggling and is close to you. You can talk with Him any time of the day or night and be comforted in knowing that He hears you. I'm so sorry you have to carry such a heavy burden and you're right, it doesn't seem fair.

May you feel God's presence in your life and know He cares.

I think others have answered nicely too. I would add that I too, have my share of health trouble, but I don't let it hold me back from trusting God.
The Bible tells us that He sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The sun shines on the good and the evil.
The issues you brought up can be answered in studying Ecclesiastes.
People often times have their eyes and their hearts set on the things of this world. As Christians, we set our eyes and hearts on things which are above. Colossians chapter three is good to read.
While you are reading, read also Psalm 1. There the differences between believers and nonbelievers are shown.

Celebrate in the fact that the Lord considered you worthy enough to call you.

The fact that you are angry at God is because you know who He is, she doesn't. Your rewards are in heaven, her eternal place to live is at stake!

Once you learn to let go of the anger you will find peace but know this: You are God's called chosen elect and your suffering here on earth is temporary. I will be back with some scriptures for you.
