His libertarian leaning beliefs do not fall in line with the neo-con leanings of the religious right. Additionally, he is not influenced by outside factors such as big business or lobbying groups. He will not pander to the religious right or anyone else, for that matter. This makes him unappealing, they would like someone who would be a puppet. This is not Ron Paul.

There are two aspects to Conservatism. One is pro-Life and anti-gay agenda. The other aspect is protecting the interests of the White majority, and that means perpetuating American global hegemony. Ron Paul is not for this second aspect and that's why the Religious Right/Conservatives don't favor him.
That's the truth and nothing but the truth.

They are not really interested in traditional conservative positions anymore.
The Christian right, is not about Smaller Government, and fiscal responsibility. They are focused on beating up on Muslims. Ron Paul doesn't appear to share that focus.

they havent yet, but they will. just wait. they wont vote for a Mormon no matter how good he is, and huckabee is gonna screw up somewhere. the only threat is juliani, but hes a Bush clone running on the terrorist rhetoric, so hes gonna either win them over with fear or fall to the sidelines. im personally not a republican or part of a christian church, but Ron Paul has my vote. :)

Ron Paul is my choice for president- I have to vote my conscience- and I cannot vote for someone who believes that abortion and gay marriage is ok- so Mr. Paul is my choice too

We don't know anything about him. He is not in the news regularly and we need to support a candidate that has a good chance to win the election.

Because he doesn't feel the need to use his religion to gather votes like Huckabee and Romney do.

Perhaps because of the support he gets from ultra-right-wingers and neo-Nazis like "Stormfront" (although, after some pressure, he did give the donation back).
I voted for him when he ran as a Libertarian. I won't waste my vote again.
