I haven't so far. I recently lost 48lbs. I reached my goal weight August 2007, and have managed to maintain my weight with ease.

You have to learn to change your eating habits for good. Not just while your dieting but forever as long as you want to keep the weight off.

It is harder over Christmas and whilst you are on holiday. But it is all about having foods, like mince pies, cake, alcohol all in MODERATION only.

Exercise also is really important. Eating healthy and exercise work perfectly together.

Don't be to hard on yourself. You have to make the choice yourself. When you feel ready to diet, then start. I don't really think now is the right time to be starting. Think about it in he New Year.

Have a lovely Christmas.

I've lost weight.

Try setting a date for when you start to celebrate Christmas. Except for the obligatory office party, I suggest you make that date DECEMBER 24th, and leave off the fatfood until then. Stop again on December 26th, and don't re-start until New Year's Eve - just before you make that vital resolution to lose weight (gradually, if you want to keep it off) in time to look good for summer.

Do the above, but don't try to diet. It's mid-winter and you'll get very cold (and even ill) if you dip your calories too much. But don't overeat either, except for the days I've mentioned above, of course!

PS: Alcohol and weight loss don't happen together either.

PPS: Do not be afraid to throw uneaten food (and yes, uneaten chocolates and cakes) into the bin.

PPPS: YOU ARE NOT THE BIN.

UGGHHH, i've been on a fairly strich modified bodybuilder diet to lose fat and keep muscle. I did well untill Thanksgiving and it's gone downhill ever since...I was given "permission" to cheat Thanksgiving and can't seem to break the, "well 1 more day won't matter". 5 pounds later, it does matter. I am focusing on eating 80% well until 1/2/08 and then it's back to strict. If I do it now, I know I'll fail so I am going to give it my 80% and be happy with that. Everyone is different so you have to do what you can live with...GOOD LUCK

I haven't gained any, but I'm dieting and really trying to watch what I eat.

As for eating at Christmas, try to choose healthier options. Between cookies, candy, parties, Christmas dinner, and New Year's it can be really tough to eat right, but it's possible.

Here's some tips:

good luck!

I haven't yet as i haven't been eating anything that was bought just for Christmas.
I wouldn't go on a diet this close to Christmas otherwise you wont have a very good one. Wait until New year to start that.
