psst... here's a little secret... different people read at different speeds. You need to specify a reading speed in words per minute. Then all you need to do is find out how many words there are in the bible and do the maths.

I assume by "many readers" that you are coordinating a group of people who are all reading the bible. I'm guessing three to five days (your fastest readers will do 1-2 days, and your slowest readers will never finish).
It doesn't make much sense to organize an effort for a group of people to all read through the bible in a few-day setting. It's not like reading a novel, and for a reader to understand what they are covering, they need a bible with a lot of footnotes (or a group leader who can explain "what's going on").

You mean reading out loud?
I suppose it depends on how fast the readers can speak.
I have a friend who can speak amazingly fast - like those guys who read the list of side effects at the end of pharmaceutical ads.
If you had a bunch of those guys, maybe you could get through it in a couple of hours.

The reading of the bible should be for personal exploration and reflection...no speed. If you are trying to speed your way through then you are defeating the purpose...you shouldn't even bother.

Depends on how many readers you had......
If everyone read a word, it would take a second.

I have two disks with the New Testament on them and they run for approximately 8 hours each...................the Old Testament is at least twice or three times as long..............but I really don't know.
I'm assuming this is reading aloud..........which takes much longer.

One day if you have about 100,000 readers. I guess I need to know what you mean by "many."

If you have a thousand readers, it shouldn't take long. Have then all read at once, and record the cacophony for posterity.
Nonsense spoken all at once.
