From this article, the government feels that her rape and subsequent inprisonment are punishment enough for her being out late and looking tempting.

Sorry to all the defenders of Islam, but stuff like this really doesn't cast Islamic society in a very positive light.

What can moderate Muslims do to move past garbage like this?

Barbarinism rears it's ugly head when horrible things like this happen. No sane, responsible, right-minded society treats it's women in such a barbaric way.

What did they do to the man who raped her? He got off without any repercussions. Is that justice? Societies without right justice are nothing more than havens for evil.

Islam is about 1500 years behind the rest of the civilized world. In St. Augustine's time, when a Christian woman was raped, it was considered her fault too.

Today we are shocked by the actions of what we call Islamic extremists. But who can forget the day that Charlemagne cut the heads off of 4600 Saxons for their refusal to bow down and worship Jesus.

people dont even read the article
it says, they both were having an affair and were having 'sexy time' when they were abducted by seven men. Apparently they were both raped by the abductors.
Having dealt with enough physical and mental pain, they both were pardoned.
