Dog food. I recently switched my little man over to Canidae from Iams small breed and he is doing SO WELL on it. I am a believer. The pieces seem to be teeny enough for him to chew ok too. The most important thing is that it is quality food. And of course lots of water!

They should eat a dog food made specifically for toy breeds it is smaller so it is easier to chew some brands also make these types of food a little softer to help

I feed Purina One Puppy to 1 year old then Purina One.
I feed my dogs and pups 8 weeks old ad up just hard food.
from 4 weeks - 7 weeks I give the puppy food moistened until they are on solid food.
I also give them the LARGE dog biscuits to nibble on they are also good for helping to keep the teeth clean.
My dogs on occassion also get table scraps but only mixed in with their food.
Chihuahuas are known for low blood sugar so they are best if allowed to have food down at all times or fed small amounts every 2-4 hours.
If you have any other questions feel free to email me

I have found that Iams dog food is the best. Although my gramma has 5 chihuahuas and they feed them everything they eat, and they are happy fat dogs.
