What would happen if Americans illegally crossed over to their land, instead of them? What happens if we colonized in Mexico? Started our own state their? The problems are all solved, this is the only way and it solves everything!! Its just that no one was thinking about the problem in the correct way. Wat do you think?

I was thinking about moving to Mexico. How about if the U.S. vamps up its immigration system so these people can become legal and pay taxes . Right now a Mexican who lives here illegally can apply at the immigration office for legal status but is then put on the "radar" screen as being here illegally and risks a high chance of getting deported back to Mex until they become legal which can take many years. Or they can stay in Mexico and apply and wait many years. I think the U.S. should spend its money on putting more immigration offices in every major city and process these people quickly giving them a temporary card they can show authorities if they get pulled over that shows they have applied for legal status. Then make sure they get processed within a year. All Americans come from immigrant backgrounds. Mexicans want a chance to but the system is screwed up. I still may go to Mexico

If you took all the American ways and rules and values etc into Mexico, you would have the same problem as before but with all the Mexicans coming back into Mexico. It's not the land they want, it's a better way of life. People who aren't fortunate in life and are willing to do anything to get away will follow what they think will help them. Without American citizens and government in America and all the Mexicans there instead, it would just become Mexico.

I think that the problem of "Illegals" is a "Hot Button" issue the politicians pull out when they do not want us paying attention to what they are doing or have recently been caught doing. (Usually illegal or Immoral acts of the politicians)

There are other "Hot Button issues as well like Abortion, Gay Marriage and a few others. They are highly inflammatory subjects and usually take our attention away from what they are up to.

It always strikes me as funny that this Country is made from Immigrants. So unless you were an American Indian, you came from a family of Immigrants but that was probably at a time when Immigrants were welcomed to our Country and not ostracized and blamed for all our woes.

The bigots have managed to group all Immigrants together. You hear people talking about how the see "Illegal" Immigrants on the streets. How? Do they have a sign on? No they are just bigots and assume everyone who is not white with an accent, must be an Illegal Immigrant!

Perhaps we need to reacquaint themselves with this plaque on the statue of liberty:

I think that while US citizens are sneaking across the border to find jobs as cleaners, the Mexican population would be swimming the Rio Grande to take over the US. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would be having a rough day it that happened...
On the other hand - I keep thinking about the low cost of living and the great beaches in Mexico. Okay man, I'm convinced. I'll pack my suitcase, clean out my savings and grab some Coronas to sip on beach! ¡Aquí vengo, México!

Well if Hillary is elected I am on my way. Besides, whats good for the goose is good for the gander right? I think we need to take all the rescued Pit Bulls and line them up along the border. Deputize them all like a Police Dog. it is time American took back their country from the crooked politicians that could care less about preserving our rights, sovereignty or our constitution.

There are portions of Mexico that Americans are "colonizing" the difference is that we go there legally because we have more money... and then treat Mexicans in their own country as 2nd class citizens.

If we were truly interested in reducing illegal immigration we would help increase the wages and job opportunities for Mexicans in their homeland... if the opportunities were there for living wages Mexicans wouldn't come here.

in theory that is a great plan however we need to ask why americans would want to live in mexico. if mexicans hate it there why will americans like it?

i think that if americans were willing to emigrate to mexico then the economy could expand and perhaps cut immigration rates to america however im not sure you could persuade a lot of americans to do that

It would be similar to what happened in the movie, "The Day After tomorrow."

This would be a bad idea because it would be an invansion. And that would cause us to go to war with mexico again just like we did about 100 years ago.

Well, that would be kind of like colonizing in the trailer park. People are leaving Mexico for a reason.

If that were to happen then it would start a war. The U.S. did this type of thing to Mexico before. I believe that Texas, New Mexico, etc. were once part of Mexico. The U.S. went into Mexico and did what you wanted because they said that it was God's will (which is such B.S.) and that did start a war between the two countries. Would you like to see more people die?
