I've used several different cable companies over the years and have never had to give them a credit card.

I have time warner and i don't recall having to have a credit card. You may have to pay a higher deposit or something. Contact the cable company and see what they can do for you.

i know that direct tv gives you services without the need of a credit card but you do need to give them $ 200 dollars when they come to you're house and you get it back in small amounts when you get you're bills, and cable vision its $95 and change when they come to you're house, the amount you have to give really depends on how many boxes your getting and dvrs, the prices i just gave you are for 3 boxes and 2 dvrs

hope this helped
