I am going to enjoy the day. Nothing else matters on Christmas Day but my family.

Nope! Jan 2 for paper returns or Jan 11 for e-file. That's IF you have your W-2s in hand, etc.

no - you can't file without a w-2 and the earliest you can file online is mid january, which may be delayed this year because of the AMT mess they're trying to fix

No.

If you are self-employed, you can file once you have all of your information together.

If you work for someone else, you can file the day that you receive your W-2's.

no you can not. If you plan to efile it is Jan 12th
