One of the most effective surgeries for women with stretch marks on their stomach from a pregnancy is a tummy tuck. The tummy tuck gets rid of extra skin and fat, making the stomach tighter and nicely shaped. In the process of this skin removal, stretch marks below your belly button are usually removed as well.

Another option is laser surgery. This type of stretch marks surgery is generally only for people whose stretch marks are still colored red or brownish. If your stretch marks have faded to more of a flesh color the laser will not be able to detect them. This surgery is effectively able to remove damaged skin and stimulate collagen growth, but may not always completely eliminate stretch marks.

Laser surgery can also become incredibly expensive. Each session can cost as much as $1000 or more, and depending on how quickly your skin reacts to the surgery, you may need multiple sessions of laser surgery before your stretch marks fade or go away.

Cosmetic lasers are a new method for removal of stretch marks. Unlike traditional treatments like stretch mark creams and gels, lasers are used to stimulate new collagen growth and fill the stretch mark from the bottom up. The laser energy is absorbed in the dermal layer of the skin stimulating the production of new collagen. As the new collagen thickens and plumps the skin, it fills in the stretch mark from below.

Laser stretch mark removal has advanced in recent years, the cost and pain associated with laser stretch mark treatments has come down significantly. Although the costs are still not considered cheap, the treatment cost have not risen in parallel with the rising costs of these new advanced stretch mark removal lasers.

It should be possible but should cost a lot. Massaging on the stretch marks serves as an excellent home remedy for stretch marks removal. You can either use olive oil, flaxseed oil, vitamin E oil or cod liver oil for the purpose of massage. Check out http://useinfo-stretchmarks.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

If stretchmarks are still red, they can be lightened by laser but not removed.

Or if someone has a tummy tuck and they are removing large amounts of skin that may be covered in stretchmarks, obviously they will be gone afterwards.

Otherwise, they cannot be eradicated. But jojoba oil or cocoa butters does appear to help.
