Ingredients:

Roast
Steak Seasoning
1 Large Onion
1 pack McCormick beef gravy packet
Beef broth
Oil

cut the roast in slices. Season both sides with steak seasoning by mccormick (or it doesn't matter what kind of steak seasoning you use). In a large skillet, heat 1 1/2 tbs of oil. Place the roast slices in and cook on both sides for 5 minutes. Set aside and cover with foil.

Cut one large onion in think slices. Add a little more oil to the skillet. Cook the sliced onion until caramelized and transculent.

Add the the packet of gravy to the skillet. Add however much water it calls for (except replace it with the beef broth if that makes since at all). Mix it well with the onions until soupy looking. Add the roast slices. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Serve with garlic bread and a bed of salad.

*Everyone keeps saying crockpot roast, well I gave you something different. And it's faster!*

Dont' use carrots and potatoes. Just make the roast in a crockpot, and serve w/ rice or egg noodles and broccoli or green beans.
Serve leftovers in a Beef-Vegetable Soup, as Beef Stroganoff, or as a Truckstop Sandwich (open face meat/gravy over toast).

Delicious & Easy Crockpot Beef Roast

1 chuck or rump Beef Roast (sized for your crockpot)
½ Cup of Water
1 Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
1 Packet of Italian Dressing Mix
1 Packet of Brown Gravy Mix

Put roast in crockpot, pour water around the base. Sprinkle all 3 dry seasoning packets over roast. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on low. Remove roast to cutting board and let sit 15 minutes; slice thinly across the grain. This makes great tasting gravy too!

You don't say what type of roast, but one of my favorites is chuck roast slow-baked with a mixture of cream of mushroom soup and dried french onion soup mix. Spread that on top, wrap tightly in foil, put into a pan and bake at 300F for 2-3 hours depending on the weight of the meat. This will come out very tender and flavorful and makes some gravy too. Delicious served with mashed potatoes and steamed fresh veggies.

I would serve the oven cooked roast with Pierogies and a green garden salad! Oh, and brown and serve dinner rolls to! Or French bread and a fondue instead of dinner rolls! :)

Offer real butter, and sour cream to put on the Pierogies, yummy!

YOU CAN PUT IT IN THE CROCK POT AND MAKE BBQ OUT OF IT.
