I've watched most of it in my sophmore HS class last year, and i thought it gives true reasons why its happening.. but i dont think were able to stop it, its gonna happen regardless, human beings just sparked it to go even faster then it would.

I've seen the movie too and it's complete propaganda. I'm still amazed they are allowed to indoctrinate children in the government schools by forcing them to see this garbage.

Read up on the subject and you'll understand why nearly all of the movie was either made up, exaggerated or contains incomplete info. Even parts of the graphs were cut out. I saw the real graphs later and compared.

Al Gore should be put in jail for lying, but since "global warming" is a political tool, he was given awards instead. I hope you won't fall for the hoax, but you're free to believe what you want. Education is the key.

The Movie is garbage. One Volcanic eruption does more damage than the human race can possibly do. The Global Warming pushers are the same scientists the predicted another Ice Age back in the 70's. The best thing we as humans can do is leave Nature alone. Let it cycle itself . Global Warming is being used by the United Nations as a ploy to destroy the United States and our freedom. Wake up America,or you will be destroyed.

No. Many scientist believe that global warming is a natural cycle. Read the article in the Canada Free Press about a scientific peer reviewed article.

Yes, although your conclusion is not quite right.

The planet is in a cooling portion of its natural orbital cycle:

And solar activity has decrased slightly over the past 30 years:

So the planet would be cooling slightly right now if not for humans.

There are many basic scientific facts which can only be explained if the current global warming is being caused by an increased greenhouse effect due to carbon dioxide accumulating in the atmosphere from humans burning fossil fuels.

Gore's film got a few details wrong, but it got these basic facts right.

The main reason, yes.

There are some details in the movie that have been proven wrong, but not the four main points, which almost all scientists and world leaders agree on.

Global warming is real, mostly caused by us, a serious problem, and can be fixed by us.

We can't totally stop it at any reasonable cost, but we can reduce it some and then cope with the remainder. Here's the plan:

http://www.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/ar4-wg3.htm

It will cost way less to do that than to try to cope with the full effects.

If the movie has gotten you thinking about this, here are some places with better scientific information:

We make models and the models don't work. This doesn't seem to deter those that still use them to try and scare people. The models are only as good as the programmers and the current state of knowledge and the real inconvenient truth is that we don't know as much as some claim we do.

The only effects man can have is at local levels - cities.
The admission that it is inevitable should make you think about what they were saying before.

I have not seen the movie, but have seen clips and heard Al Gore talk about it.

And I pretty much agree with everything you say.

You're right it can't be fully stopped, but it can be slowed down and we can prevent it from occurring even faster.
