I want to get both nipples pierced but I really don't know what to expect (pain wise). I have 4 tattoos, one on my shoulder, one on my stomach/ribs, one on my hipbone, one on the back of my neck. People say if you can sit through that then piercings shouldn't be a problem, but I want to know from people that have actually gotten them pierced, what should I expect?? Best answer with best info gets 10points!

Should be no problem, piercings are so quick compared to tattoos! I'm constantly fighting the urge to jerk away when sitting for a tattoo. Anyway, as far as piercings go, nipples are pretty painful, but the worst of it is only for a second. Get both done on the same day--some people don't, but that really only prolongs the painful healing process. Also, before getting them done, invest in a nice comfy bra--one that won't allow your boobs to slip around, because the worst pain for the next week or so will be when something (even soft fabric) brushes against your nipple. Something soft with no underwire--like a sports bra, but maybe with a slightly looser fit. You're gonna want to wear it all the time--even when you sleep. And wear it the day of the piercing, too! When I got them done, my regular bra chafed too much, so I took it off, but my tender nips rubbing against my cotton T-shirt was just as bad!

The healing process for my nipples was by far the most painful. I think the pain will really depend on how sensitive your nipples are. I just remember that I couldn't hug anyone or lie down on my stomach for a long while. During the first week of healing, it hurt to even take a shower due to the water running over my nipples. Oh, and if you use one of those poof ball scrubbies in the shower, be careful, because it will catch on the piercings, and accidentally pulling on them hurts so bad!! Getting the actual piercings was a breeze, but the healing process was painful. It was worth it though. :)

It depends on the person. I have 2 tattoos, one medium size, one large (7 hours of tattooing), and 3 piercings left. I use to have both my nipples pierced. That was the most painful thing I have ever done. I got it done simply because I enjoyed the feeling of getting piercings, but the nipples hurt really bad, but none of my other piercings hurt at all. After about 2 years I couldn't take them anymore because they constantly bothered me, and they felt much better when I took the metal out. I miss having it, but it was unpleasant for me. But, some people love it. If I were you and I wanted it, get it done. The pain doesn't last long, and you can take them out.

I have had mine done for 4 years, but I do remember the pain was pretty excruciating, and I haev a very high pain tolerance.

However, it only really hurts that bad for that split second the needle goes in. However, afterwards your nipples are going to be very sensitive. I couldn't wear a bra for about 2 weeks and like someone above me said, even the lightest, loosest shirts still had me in pain. Just remember to take care of your piercing, the last thing you need is an infection on your nipple.

I have had them both done and i loved them. I also have a tattoo on the top of my foot that hurt like a b*tch! but I will say that the nipple piercings hurt way more! It wasnt so much the needle piercing your skin thing, but there was so much resistance it was like painful having it shoved through! Lets just say, one nipple ring rejected from my body (pain Pain PAINNN, fever!!, redness! ouch!) and i will NOT consider going to get it redone, however Ive went back for more tattoos...does that answer your question?? LOL!

I just got mine done about a week and a half ago. I only got one done, but i absolutley love it. Yea, it hurts quite a bit. During and after. If you want nitty gritty details, well it feels quite literally like whats happening, like something is being forced through a thick section of skin, then after i got a piercing pain through out that side of my body and that last for about 3 minutes, then after that it was really achey. But by day two it wasn't so bad. And now, a week and ahalf later it is doing just fine. All i know is that, the pain is defnintly worth the outcome. You endure about 20 seconds of intense pain for something that lasts for along time. i say do it!
Good luck!

I've got both done, it's like if some one pinched you hard. it's quick, they clamp them, mark both sides of the nipple then pierce. They tell you take a deep breath, then blow out that's when they do it. Don't trip it looks fab and you've got 1 more place to put some cool jewelry !

I can tell you that on a scale of 1-10. I rate it about a 6. I have one done twice and the other done once, however I am a male. They are supposed to hurt worse on women. I can tell you that it will hurt less if you get them clamped, but the clamp will hurt as well.

The pain is different for everybody.
I got it done and it wasn't that sore.
My best friend got it done the next day in the same place and she nearly cried.
But if you can manage tattoo pain then you should have no problems.
