This was a quote someone said to me once when I was starting to doubt my spiritual abilities and it struck very true with me, it ticked all the right boxes.
Has anyone else ever heard a quote that really 'spoke to them' and what are your opinions on the one above?
Blessings

Not Socialized..Thats exactly what it means, thanks for explaining it in a way that is understandable. I'm not good at making my point clear.

That's one of the truest statements I've ever seen...you have to think about the implications to understand it's meaning...

The closer you are to the truth the more you are scorned by those with whom you share your knowledge...and the more time you have to spend in solitude seeking the knowledge that brings you closer to the truth...the double edged sword...

Witch,
- Yes, I am familiar with the concept - maybe THE Truth is too overwhelming for our current evolutionary brain capacity, too survive.
- I'm not sure if humanity (in its present state) is meant to know the Truth. I think it lies (at a minimum) in the realm of the 4th-dimension (and I do not mean Time). For instance - visible Ghosts may in-fact be 4thD shadows, just as our "shadows" are cast in 2 dimensions.
- TO GET TO THE POINT - I believe there is a Truth, I just don't believe it is comprehensible, at this time. - No matter what Science, Spirituality, or belief-system is employed.
- Lastly - Not knowing the Truth, may be a good thing.
- Having Faith in one's belief is healthy, but to believe that one actually "knows" the Entire Truth - I find a bit Arrogant (though understandable). A lot of us live in a Box of our beliefs and refuse to "step-outside" and consider other possibilities or opinions. Neils Bohr (Quantum Physics) wrote that "the sound of Progress is a 'popping' noise -- This noise comes from Scientists, pulling their heads out of the ****s; and looking beyond what they already "know."
- There is also an old Italian joke - "What do Americans do with a Question -- They Answer it!!" -- Now some may say, "well, of course you Answer it" -- But the Joy of Living in our present state, may have more to do with "living IN the Question" and relishing our Journey, without knowing the outcome(?).

Good quote...maybe the schizos really have it right?

The fact is, if there were things happening that are beyond most of our senses and ability to prove, anyone who DID see them would be thought of as insane. And to progress as a species, we need to examine new thoughts--but those who think differently are often labeled as crazy.

Another quote I like is by MC Escher (no...not a rapper) "Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible."

I agree 100%. Look at Dr. Timothy Leary, Tesla, Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Dr. Wilhelm Reich, Carl Jung... The genius' down the ages have always been what they call eccentric... a bit mad.

Well, Einstein said it best:

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind."

One of the smartest people that ever lived understood just how little he knew. To bad, today, that so many think they know so much.

Btw, most of what people today call intelligence, is education that consist of 90% useless information.

The quote is very good, by the way. Many people today and then thought Einstein was a little weird and many thought him to be crazy.

And you're sane if you believe a book that has talking snakes, burning bushes, an invisible man who lives in the sky, raising the dead, walking on water, coming back from the dead, believing you'll go to a place called heaven.. thats also invisible? Mmmm, very sane. NOT

“Let the lover be disgraceful, crazy, absent-minded. Someone sober will worry about events going badly. Let the lover be.”

This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. First to let go of life. Finally, to take a step without feet.”

“The way you make love is the way
God will be with you.”

Most people who are declared insane usually focus on religion during their insanity. This statement is false and it doesn't "speak to me". What one must remember about insanity is that thoughts become discombobulated in this state. Error is the result.

Truth is actually not recognized by many in our society so it is a bit difficult to think outside-the-box by the common men.

They consider it madness or something of the sort to explain the viewpoint of the truth!

You got to take it the way it is!
Most of the times it's wiser, not to think out loud!

It seems that way some time from our human perspective....but in reality - God's reality - those who are closest to the truth are the soundest in mind.

They thought Jesus was crazy, Paul was crazy - and some people think I am crazy!! Ha! I love the Lord! I really do!

god bless
