"Search the scriptures" to see! (Acts 17:11)
A church that follows the Bible should speak where the Bible speaks, be silent where the Bible is silent, do Bible things in Bible ways and call Bible things by Bible names!
I invite you to investigate the Church of Christ by such a comparison to the Bible. Any church that claims to follow the Bible should not mind such an investigation. In fact they should insist on it!
Ask Bible questions, and expect Bible answers!
Below are links to some articles that discuss the church. The last link is a free 6-lesson video Bible study called "Searching for Truth". You can it watch on-line.

Chef,
If you are looking to follow the Bible then you do not want a Denomination. Denominations all follow man's creeds rather than GOD'S WORD. The Bible is what one must follow. The Building and the people are two different things. When one becomes a Christian they are members of the LORDS CHURCH. That does NOT make them a part of a Denomination. It makes them a part of CHRIST'S FAMILY. I am a Fundamental Christian and I believe that the BIBLE is important to read, study, and obey. I do NOT believe that a person must follow other men/women to stay with GOD'S WORD but it assists them in remaining faithful to find CHRIST'S CHURCH and worship with HIS' People.
Gorgeous,
As much as I love and care for you I was really hurt by what you said the most (in these answers). I feel that GOD is an important part of my life and I love people. I must begin to think about what I am going to do here and whether it is worth staying now or not.
Thanks,
Eds

I don't like comparing denominations because all Christians are the body of Christ and denominations should not matter. We should be united as one. But seeing as you asked this question. There have been surveys taken about which denominations are most Biblical. The Baptists have always come out in the front. That does not mean that Baptist Churches are any better than other Bible teaching churches. They still have all the same "issues" and "problems" of other churches. But when it comes to Bible teaching, they do excel above the others.

The Bible that I read shows me that the relationship between a believer and God is between a believer and God. Not between the believer and the church who dictates what a believer must believe and God.
So a church that follows the Bible most closely starts with Christ, and continues with you. If you know God well enough, you can have what it takes to follow the Bible yourself most closely.
In this day and age, there are many pastors to listen to. They are on the radio, on the internet, and in those buildings where they preach from. We have all those resources and are not stuck on any of them.
So YOU get to gather the knowledge and strength that you feel is required to gather from multiple sources in the world as it is now.

Obviously, those sects and bodies that take the Bible literally. However, it is possible to follow the Bible sincerely and intelligently and come up with far more liberal or broad views. In other words you can be a Christian and take a view of the Bible that is sense based rather than accepting myth as truth.

I think all Christian religions are based on the bible - their own interpretation of the bible. So however you interpret the teachings is how you would match up with whatever religion is associated with your beliefs. All of them I believe would think their interpretations are the most accurate, so they would all think they follow it most closely.

There's different versions of the Bible and multiple religions that follow them to the letter for each one so you'd have to clarify which Bible you're referring to. Technically speaking any given religion (for the most part) is going to follow its scripture to the letter but that ultimately falls in to the hands of its practitioners as to how orthodox they choose to be.

Each denomination believes they follow correctly. For the most part, the differences are in interpretation.

It's not really the denomination more the individual. Unfortunately we have a tendency to interpret the Bible the way we want.
