Should be one part vinegar to two parts oil.
Next we turned to the ratio of oil and vinegar. Common culinary wisdom has it that 2 parts oil to 1 part vinegar is the correct ratio, though that matter is up for considerable debate depending on which cookbook you consult. We tried dressings with 2, 3, 4, and 5 parts oil to 1 part vinegar and had a strong preference for the 4:1 dressing. Because neither the oil nor the vinegar dominated, the mixture tasted smooth and balanced rather than harsh or greasy. This balance works well for most supermarket vinegars,

Oh my dear, food isn't about being correct, it's about taste! Your ratio is very unusual, 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar is the most often seen. But if you like it, there's nothing incorrect about it. I serve the vinegar and oil in decanters right on the table, so my family can take the amount they prefer.

Just enough oil to coat the salad. Applied first so that the vinegar does not saturate the salad. Then vinegar to taste.
Not too much.

Wow, yours must be tart!
The classic vinaigrette is 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar. I usually go drop down to 2:1 b/c I like more vinegar flavor in mine.
