yes, but they will remember the pain... it is probably a good idea - hygiene-wise.

Yes, it can be done at any age, but it is a painful procedure.
About the answer above, this is not done by Jews at age 13 at a Bar Mitzvah! Circumcision is performed at the Bris which is done when a baby is 8 days old. Becoming a Bar Mitzvah is a ceremony of prayers and readings at age 13 where a boy becomes a man.

Ask his doctor. It should be done only for valid medical or religious reasons. I have heard the hygienic argument, but I understand that it is only valid when someone does not have regular access to the shower.
To the poster above: Jewish boys are circumcised in infancy, traditionally at 8 days of age. In some other cultures, pre-adolescent boys may be circumcised.

You could, but it would be incredibly cruel. For the 3 year old especially, they would remember the pain and everything, but not be old enough to understand what was happening. If your sons have got through life this far without being circumcised, I'm sure they don't need it, it's not medically necessary anyway.

Yes, they can be circumcised at any age. However, unless there is a medical or religious reason for the circumcision, I would wait and let them make the decision for themselves when they are older.
Hygiene is a poor reason for circumcision if you are willing to teach them how to clean themselves properly.

they can, but I wouldn't advise it. First, 3 years old is an akward age for the procedure, it is hard to explain to a boy that age what is going to happen and they are just starting to learn about bodily integrity. Second, they shouldn't have any problems with thier foreskins or keeping themselves clean, so at this point it really is a personal matter for THEM to decide. They've grown up knowing thier intact penises, if you remove it from them they will remember- even if they give you thier "consent" they are to young to realize the implications and may regret it later on. Leave them alone and let them make the decision for themselves when they become adults. -Neb

Fixifem it can be but most women done on a survey prefer a man with a foreskin. There is no medical reason unless it is tight and they can't withdraw the skin. Hygiene reasons is totally false, as once they learn to clean their penises on their own they will be fine. The choice is yours ultimately, but I would let what God gave us alone unless there were a medical reason for it> Good Luck! Have a very Merry Christmas!

Yes, but!
It was done to me when I was six years old, and I NEVER trusted my mother again!
That was more than fifty years ago.

No, you shouldn't have them done unless they have a medical problem which demands it. It is a painful procedure and they won't thank you for it!
