Why does it take humans so long to figure out the answer to the question you have posed?
Your question should give all humans a greater understanding that we are enrolled in a vast school, at a 'point' called Earth.
It is the dawning of wisdom within man, that points to this logical understanding concerning the "Wisdom" behind all things. There are no errors or shortcomings, within that Power known to man as "God".
"Peace be always with you."

A lot of people disagree with my view on this but it makes the most sense to me.
While God does know all things, He also gave us free will and those free will choices are totally ours. Though he does know what the result of the choices will be the actual choice is up to us.
Please forgive me for making an overly simple example.
Let’s pretend you are walking down a corridor and you come to an intersection. You can turn left or you can turn right. (your free will choice) Obviously God would know what will happen to you if you turn left or if you turn right. However, it is totally up to you to choose the path you want to follow.
Eve had a choice. She could have told to serpent where he could put the fruit or do as she did taking that first bite. Of course even before that the serpent had a choice also, to try to temp Eve or not to.
Obviously God knows the outcome of all the choices and interactions of the choices. But in order to truly have free will, the choice has to be totally up to us.
Interestingly Our Creator also tends to give us extra chances (to a point) to come clean of mistakes.
Even with Adam and Eve, He gave them several other chances, where potentially they might not have been kicked out of Eden. But with each question He asked they chose to try to point blame somewhere else (not taking responsibility for our actions.)
Key places that there was a choice. 1 they could have went to the Lord directly and said they messed up and not tried to hide. And 2 This is a part that people often miss, God found them and asked, "Did you eat the fruit I told you not to eat?" Notice that neither Adam nor Eve answered that question. Rather they both tried to avoid responsibility for their own actions and tried to blame the error in judgment on someone/something else.
Or when God gave them the chance to 'come clean' asking "Hast thou eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, that thou shouldest not eat?". If either them had simply said, "I know it was wrong, I shouldn't have done it, but Yes, Lord I messed up and ate of the tree." I wonder how things might have changed?
Just something to think about.
May Our Creator watch over you and your family

the fact That God is all knowing is correct, while He knows all things..even to the moment that we are going to be born and the moment that we will die. Yes, He new that Adam and Eve would mess His plan up....He had a second plan... Jesus Christ came to do the work that Adam and Eve could not do.... forgive us of our sins. This is why we celebrate Christmas in honor of Jesus; birth.

Well no he didn't since God gave us free will so he knew we "could" screw things up but he didn't know for sure we would. He knows all posibilities but does not know what choice we are gonna make because if he did then it would be a contradiction to free will.

I think God knew planned for Adam and Eve to screw up, even though he made them and the rest of the human race in his image, he had to have them sin, otherwise the rest of the story couldn't be told, and the bible would've been to short.

Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not.
-------------------------------
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners) and sanctify You." He (God) said: "I know that which you do not know."
And He taught Adam all the names (of everything) , then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful."
They (angels) said: "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise."
He said: "O Adam! Inform them of their names," and when he had informed them of their names, He said: "Did I not tell you that I know the Ghaib (unseen) in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing..........................................

He did know that man would choose to sin and be separated from Him because of it. That's why the Bible says that God already had the plan for man's salvation beforehand.
The only way to be saved and go to heaven and not eternal hell, is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

It would have to be part of the plotline that he devised right from the start, and therefore entirely intended. Religious folks actually believe this.
Chris's answer is a perfect example of how breathtakingly absurd it all is.
