I've been talking to this girl for the past week and a half and everything seems to be okay one day then rocky the next.
She always seems too busy for me but sometimes she'll text me things like "I was thinking about you" and what not.
So on monday night, i asked her out for a date today and i asked her if she'd like to, she replied that she would and she'll tell me what time she's be free this afternoon.
I also text her later that night to say goodnight and she replied with a "dream of me".
I gave her a call yesterday, she picked up but she was doing her xmas shopping and said she'd call me back but she didn't.
I text her a final text today asking her if she's still free and I won't text again till I know whats going on.
Today is date day and I still haven't heard from her. Shall I say "sod it" and give up? Or what shall I do? Im so confused >.<

If you haven't actually seen her by tonight then she has no intention of going out with you. But give her until 30 mins after the time you arranged in case she does actually turn up.

Yeah, I think you should let her do the chasing now and if she is interested, she will!
She's playing games with you at the moment which isn't fair to you.
If she liked you a lot, she would be keen to meet up. The way she is acting is like she's not sure either way so as I said, let her do the chasing if she is interested.
If you don't hear from her, do yourself a favour and find someone better who will be decent enough to text or call you back :)

Maybe she is just really busy right now, what with xmas round the corner, either that or she is very unsure of what she wants and is messing you around in the process. I think you should maybe ask her if she can see you two going somewhere and if she would like to start dating properly. I think you are going to have to ask her honestly otherwise, you will never know.

Dont chase her.... that might be what she wants.
If she doesnt get back to you today... dont give in to temptation to find out why. She'll get back to you eventually because you've suddenly gone quiet on her and shown your intention not to be messed around.
Dont let her think you're a pushover.

dont reply, if shes truely interested then she will make the effort. Continuously pushing them and calling them only shows your weakness. Youde be surprised what happens when you take out care, let them come to you and go from there ( this is not to say dont care about a person... but rather more let them chase you )
