fonzi kermit: when anglos colonists arrived in the new world in the 1500/1600s there were no Starbucks or Mercados waiting for them and they had to clear the land and fight hostile indians who murdered and raped and killed young anglo children in horrible ways. The indians had no title to America anymore than the Spanish had a clear title to Mexico. Indians tribes had been fighting each other over land and hunting territory for centuries and the winner took all. The indians simply lost and its a good things because illegal mexican would have no land of milk and honey to sneak into today.

Our ancestors pulled their weight and contributed to the succes of America and those coming from the south only come with extended hands and complainants. There is no correlation between these two immigrations. A country wiithout borders is no longer a country. you need to go take a close look at Mexico to see what America will possibly be in ten years.

Illegals do most of the unskilled labor or service jobs: landscaping, construction, cleaning, fast food and restaurant help, nanny's, housecleaning, etc. Pelosi probably has illegals working for her, whether she knows it or not. Now that the economy has tanked I think the issue of illegals taking American jobs will come to a head. The Democrats seem to want to protect the American worker more, while Republicans were pro business. I'm not sure what Obama's position is. I do know that when people are out of work, they have time to clean their own house and cut their own grass. Construction is down. If the Gov would crack down on employers hiring illegals, the incentive wouldn't be here.

What nonsense, but your counterparts seem to have flocked to agree with you. I still can't imagine what you mean by "losing" America! Is this some sort of nativist rant about keeping the culture exactly the way it is right now, Dec. 19, 2007? You're fighting a losing battle and a pointless one. Why would our country be another Mexico? Did all the immigrants who have moved here over the years make it into another Germany or another Britain or another Italy? They had "Little Italys" and "Chinatowns" in the cities for a couple of generations, but everyone adjusted and moved into the mainstream of American life. I am all for stopping illegal immigration, but I am not targeting one group of people and imagining them as some conquering force. Deal with illegal immigration and stop this alarmist and bigoted whining.

Thank you for the good news!! I mean there for a minute I was afraid you were going to say the Russians and the Cold War were back! Dang, I am relieved to hear it's just a Mexican invasion, because I heard it was the people from India that were going to take over our country -- or was that the Middle Easterners who are buying our ports? Well, it doesn't matter because it's really the Jews who "own everything" so people like you and me, we'll be ok!

Do you think we should let Canada know? Do you think they'll care? What am I talking about?! Canada IS America, just a little farther north, right? And what about the rest of the world with globalization??!!
