If someone is a illegal alien here what rights do they have as far as like food stamps go. And once they are here how can they become a citizen would they have to go home first and apply for citizenship or could they just apply here and stay?

I have read that an illegal can get food stamps if they can manage to get a driver's license... When you speak of illegal alien rights, you are touching upon the tenants of the 14th Amendment.. However, illegal alien advocates and lobbyists have bastardized US law to the point where it is FUBAR and basically, meaningless.... How can someone who is present within this country unlawfully, have US rights? A thinking person could not answer such an inane question. That is like the government passing a law to give escaped convicts seats on the city council.

In terms of citizenship, they should leave immediately and contact US immigration authorities from their country of origin. If they are caught lingering in the US unlawfully, they will be deported and then they will have a strike against their record towards applying for US citizenship. If they return after being deported and they are caught, they forfeit all hopes of US citizenship... they will NEVER be able to apply.

The only "right" they have with food stamps is if they bear their children here. Which is still up for debate and clarification. Their children are for the time being citizens and they qualify. This will end soon with a new reform for sure because there's no way it can continue status quo.

The rest I am not sure of. You would need a lawyer for the best advice.

They should have NONE regarding illegal alien rights! Nuff said.

Once they are here, they should go back and wait in line like everyone else. They should not be granted citizenship after they broke our law and came here illegally.

They have NO RIGHTS as ILLEGAL INVADERS.

However, the bleeding hearts of this country seem to think it is OK to give them everything. Most ILELGAL INVADERS get more form our government than our own citizens do.
It is a sad state of affiars when we treat criminals better than citizens.

Illegals should have the right to remain silent, any thing they say can and will be used against them at the deportation hearing.
