Tough question. SInce she has not proclaimed which yet, lets look at the indicators.
She is a Democrat because.... She is underage and pregnant, she is from Louisianna, she lives with her mom, she made it public that she is 16 and pregnant and she is an actress.
She is Republican because.... She has a job (well paying), She is a country girl, she believes in God, she wants to raise her child instead of destroying it, she relies on family instead of govt.

She's 16, for God's sake! I imagine her political beliefs run somewhere along the lines of, "I wish they'd change the law so I could go to the bar at age 16", like most 16 y/o's.

Britney is an avowed Republican, she's been quoted as saying she thinks we should let the President do whatever he has to do, an' people should just, like, CHILL about it, y'all. HOWEVER, Britney did it the "Traditional Family Values" way: marry for looks, or talent or money, never for love, marry the sperm donor so no one is scandalized, churn out as many hopeful carbons of himself, herself or some amalgam of the two, dump his worthless (but pretty) ***, and party like the redneck you always wanted to be.
Jamie Lynn seems to have a skipped a few lessons in Bush's "Just Say No... Condom" abstinence (I trust my hormone filled teen completely, dont you?) program to completely deny reality. Considerations of statuatory rape aside, for a moment (if this was a "rape case", the press is FORBIDDEN to release the "victim"'s name in the newspapers, especially a minor's name), so I'm thinking age of consent is 16 in LA or whereever she was the night of.
However, trying to shoehorn in a party bias from something like this is no better than the morons who asked "Gee San Diego is in flames, hundreds fleeing, should we abandon San Diego too?" nonsense this forum seems to be endlessly sadled with. I promise you, when YOU were fixing to end your amateur status and "go pro", you will not convince me you were thinking, as the moment approached, "Now what would a good Republican such as Barry Goldwater do?"
Jamie Lynn is 16, I doubt she has a political party, but she works for Disney (or did; how much to bet ABC and Disney jettison her faster than you can say "Don Imus"?) and pregnant teens on the Disney Channel AIN'T happening. So now Disney finds itself in the tenous legal position of not only breaking Ms Spears contract, but also of firing an unwed mother with no other visible means of support.
Man, I woulda made SUCH a good lawyer...
