Why are you people on here so quick to ridicule and condemn someone? What Jamie Lynn Spears does is of no concern of anyone's except Jamie Lynn Spears!
Just because she is some supposedly well known person as well as her boyfriend what business is it of yours anyway.
What ever happened to, "Love your neighbour as yourself"? I am sure if someone scratched the surface they could dig something up on you too.

Things like this happen to girls her age. It doesn't mean she's a tramp. Her b/f should NOT be charged with statutory rape because I am positive this was consensual sex as she is nearly 17. I can't stand it when it people don't try to stop young girls from having sex with boys until after they become pregnant and then they holler "statutory rape." This was consensual and everybody knows it, even her. She's a responsible girl who's going to take care of her child. She's not scum. Brit may be on the wrong path in life but this has nothing to do with her. Just because they're sisters is not why this happened. This didn't happen because she sees the way big sis acts. This happened because she has been in a long-term relationship with a boy and things got hot and heavy and a mistake happened. No, she's not the best example out there anymore for certain young girls but maybe she will be for other young girls who are in her same situation that can relate to her and are like "Wow, this can happen to someone like her, now I don't feel so alone in this world." She's still going to be a role model for some, just on a different level now. Her world's about to change but she'll still rise above it and I hope she makes the best out of it and moves on past people like you who thinks she scum.

He won't be charged with statutory rape! He can breathe a sign of relief.
According to DMV records, the Department of Motor Vehicles (and a family member) have confirmed that Jamie Lynn Spears' babydaddy is only 18 years old.
Casey Aldridge was born on April 29th, 1989.
Jamie Lynn was born on April 4th, 1991. That puts her at just under two years younger than him.
Now they can continue to have pre-marital teenage sex in peace!

ok, i'm no person to judge all human beings, yet might desire to somebody please tell me why Lynne Spears thinks she might desire to placed out a parenting e book? I advise she has performed so great with Britney and Jamie-Lynn, now no longer! Britney is out of control and Jamie-Lynn is pregnant at age sixteen! it is in basic terms insane, of direction her mom and dad weren't conserving an in intensity eye on her. Oh yeah, if her boyfriend is nineteen, it is rape... yet of direction she found out alot from her sister. BTW.. optimistic she is pregnant.

I believe that 16 is the "age of consent" and the father is supposedly a long time friend of around the same age.
There are worse things she could do like get caught drinking underage or be in rehab.
She isn't the first teenager to get herself into this type of situation and she certainly won't be the last. Whos to say she won't be a great mother.

It's in California, where 18 is the legal age, so yes it was statutory rape. Not sure if there are automatic charges filed by the state or not.

angie...you are a moron. Doesnt matter if the sex was consensual. Statutory Rape just takes into account the peoples age not whether or not they both agreed to it. So pick up a book and learn something before you go rambling on.

i just hope they cancel her nickelodeon show. i commend her for having to deal with pregnancy at such a young age, but i think it sets a poor example for all of the kids who watch her show.
