The short definition is that white privilege is the (multi-faceted) advantage of being white. An advantage not earned but given with birth and mostly unnoticed by those with the privilege, but very much noticed by those without it.
If you don't believe it exists now, do you believe it ever did, and if so, when?
If you do believe it exists, be concise and show examples to help aid understanding.

thinking i'm living in a poverty caught section, without heaters on (because of the fact we will not have the money for it), with youngsters working around shoe-much less, with serious choose of help to help my training, with parents that the two artwork very troublesome and nevertheless do not make as much as many non-whites on reward, No police tension retains my section risk-free (there are murders occurring each and all the time), each physique in my artwork get's paid the superb comparable volume, the college and faculty i went to settle for every person of any shade, i'm additionally having to pay for my college course even inspite of the undeniable fact that i can't have the money for it, and the government can pay ****-all to my training. I do ought to think of with reference to the colour of my dermis- being branded a racist earlier human beings comprehend me, or having to experience in charge if i'm getting someplace in existence (oh it is going to be because of the fact i'm white not because of the fact i in my view attempt rattling troublesome) or the actuality that folk will handle me differentlty because of the fact they anticipate i stay in a life-time of privilege. My family individuals can't have the money for a superb domicile in a advantageous section extremely and you comprehend the final public of the human beings living indexed right here are in fact white. Societies ideal of splendor is tanned and skinny - i'm diminished (sickly curiously) and curvy (basically good in case you're non-white curiously) i don't have many reward in this international have faith me, and you have not any good to anticipate i haven't worked troublesome for what i do- because of the fact i see maximum of of my outdated white acquaintances living in **** because of the fact they did not attempt, that would have been me. So i assume i could say no. yet i do think of there is this style of project as classification privilege, yet i don't bypass blaming the top classification for my project.

even if there was such a thing, i dont' get it. i've seen the promotion video for this orginization. so, i'm suppose to walk into my bank for a loan and refuse to accept it because i'm white? i don't get what the orginization is driving at. i can't change the way people treat me. even if they do, i don't know if my color has anything to do with it. maybe they think i'm cute?
besides, how come black people can say the N word and white people can't? sounds like black privilage to me. or how about a black person can make fun of a white people for not being able to dance, but if a white person says.. well, anything about a black person, they're racist? black privilage.
if a woman has a big rack, shes going to get treated a lot better than any woman with a small one. besides, if someone does something for me just because i'm white, what possible pride could i have in myself? i think that would be more degrading to myself if i were to recieve benefits on the sole basis of my color. look at how people treat the homeless, those white homeless are just as human as any black person, do they look like they're recieving special privilages? any homeless person gets treated like crap.
i'm sorry, but people have a thing called "preferences". we as human beings tend to people within our guidline of what is beautiful and acceptable to treat them better than people who we think are ugly and undisrable. color and race don't always go together. any person can find some race who they find their looks less than disrable, it doesn't mean they think they are inferior because they don't like the way they look.
i tried to accept this concept of white privilage. i just don't see it. you are more than welcome to explain this to me further. i'm open, but at the moment, i don't see this as a cause to fight. sorry.

When mine eyes venture out I can see those unlike me. born into wealth and poverty, here remained a dividing sea where many have crossed both way trades are made and bridges built just to see what lies beyond the sea, a debt has been placed upon me.

Right, so if I feel privallaged to be white then that makes me a racist but if you tell me I'm privallaged to be white and I say I'm not that makes me a racist too?
Instead I'd prefer to take every individual as they come whatever colour they are and I wish everyone else would do the same. I've never beleived that anyone should aplogise for being born the colour they are so I don't see my white skin as a privillage. You've got me confused. I don't know who the racist is here, me or you.

i don't believe it existed. sure, there were priveledged white people who owned slaves and lived the good life, but this was wealth passing on wealth, and if you were poor you usually remained poor. being white didn't really help you out with poverty, and today it still doesn't.
today, i don't think it exists either. i'm white, and i've worked hard for what little i have. i've never gotten a gold star or extra perks for the color of my skin.
EDIT: if you're so sure that this exists, why are you bothering to ask this question?

HA! I see black people given promotions and raises and "special treatment" all the time. I hear black people scream racism more often then any other group of people. I believe they get preferential treatment because people are afraid of them.... they have a black privilege for sure.
I am not racist, but I get tired of being told I am when I am simply trying to enforce a rule uniformly. Or when I have a college education, 5+ yrs on the job experience and national and state certificationss.. then my company hires a black man with NO experience at all.. .and he gets .13 cents an hour less then I do! He is buddies with the Black supervisor... now come on! Its obvious he got preferential treatment for being a black man!

that would seem to me to be a term that denotes a racist demeanor and attitude towards whites. when in reality due to some parts of affirmative action the whites have and are being discriminated against subversiably by the minorities who cry racism against whites any time the whites ask about our equal rights. just a thought....
