hey, whats the HL theory? i kinda fell in sleep during geo class when my teacher was teaching this and theres a test on this tomorrow. i know it has to do something with the right angle.

This refers to the HL Theorem which states that if the hypotenuse and a leg of one right triangle are equal to the hypotenuse and a leg of another right triangle then the triangles are congruent. In the picture, the two triangles are right triangles ,hypotenuse AB = DE, and leg CA = FD.
So the two triangles are congruent by the HL theorem:
