I have connected my computer with TV. The images are in black & white. How can I rectify this?

My computer is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Only yesterday I have connected with the television. The image falls in black and white and screen spreads beyond the frame of TV. I have tried but unable to change it. How can I change it into colour and rectify the frame?

Most likely you need to be in NTSC (American) instead of PAL (Japanese)

Maybe it needs to be set to the PAL setting rather than NTSC or vice-versa.
