Cap-less pendrive: dust would harm it?

I have recently bought a Transcend 2 GB Cap-less pendrive. Now my concern is that could it get harmed by the dust, as the connector slot is all the time open? Also if there is any way to clear off the dust?

Dude ... keep it in your pocket (or a drawer) ... no need to bury it

If you use it regularily then there would be not much problem.

But if you keep it without use even for 1 week in open. It will suffer small problems.
So when storing keep it in compass box or pouch or small box.
Suggestion:
keep it in match box. if it is mini type pen drive it will fit in that.
