For our son we found out, because we were told we might not be able to have kids due to me having polycystic ovarian syndrome. We had to do a mini IVF to fall pregnant with him.
With our daughter we were not going to find out but when we realized we were having twins and then her brother died, then we wanted to know if she was a girl.
We plan on having another one in the next few yrs, and we plan on not finding out lol.
I would find out if I were you, I would want to know if I'm having a girl....actually I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU ARE HAVING A GIRL! PLEASE LET US KNOW!!!
lol
Good luck xxx

I didn't find out with my first because we just didn't want to know (plus I had a pretty good hunch I knew what it was anyway, a girl!! and I was right)
We did find out with the second because we really were hoping it was a boy and just thought it would be a fun idea to know what we were having. It was a boy and we were thrilled. It was so great being able to go shopping and get exactly what I needed and not have to choose unisex. It was good with the first too and seemed liked a huge reward at the end of the birth!
Hubby has said he wants to know with this baby (im 11weeks) but I'm not convinced yet. I will prolly give in as I do to most things, lol, but I do know that logistically it will be helpful. I didn't keep much from my daughter after we found out we were having a boy as we didn't have plans for another baby. So if its a girl I have more stuff to organise. If its a boy I just need a few more clothes cos its a different season from our other boy.
And our daughter wants to know too so I might get ganged up on when we are all at the ultrasound in 7 weeks time!
I would say go on and find out! You know you prolly won't be able to resist anyway! But get them to give a % of sureness, like 60% sure boy/girl etc..., so you have a better idea of if you can trust their judgement. Remeber to have some for the opposite sex just in case though and you'd better pick a back up name too!
Best of luck and let us know what it is once you know!

I like finding out because then you can plan a little ahead of time. With our daughter we found out (she's 2 now), so that we could plan ahead and gradually buy clothes at sales at stores and garage sales - it really saved us a bundle. It's also handy in figuring out how you're going to decorate the baby's room. I am currently pregnant with baby #2, who is due in March and we will find out (hopefully, if the baby cooperates) the sex of this baby too, mainly for the clothing issue, because if it's a boy we're going to have to start being very miserly with purchasing boy's clothes. The room issue won't matter too much with this one though, because we live in a 2 bedroom house, so the kids will be sharing a room! :)

I tried to find out with my first one but she would never co-operate when I went for my scans. It was great for it to be a surprise. My second child I did find out ( I knew before the nurse said it, kinda obvious on the scan...lol) and it was great that way too. We were able to do the room for a boy, get the little boy clothes and concentrate on picking a name. So each has its perks. Lol..this didn't help at all.

Finding out the sex of your unborn does make it easier to prepare for the child, Shopping wise. My 1st child they wouldn't tell me they said it was cheating for my 1st child, I had so much things I needed to get for him and I only had yellow and green things, how charming is that? My 2nd child I found out at 20 weeks gestation (girl) and had another sonogram done at 8 months 3D sonogram. she still was a girl at that time. Now I am pregnant with my 3rd child. They say it's a girl at 20 weeks gestation ultrasound. I wanted a boy this time, I was a little disappoint that I had another doctor come in and take a look, doesn't hurt to get a 2nd opinion. She said same thing as the 1st doctor "Yup it's definitely a girl" she has 3 lines in that area meaning it was a girl.

After having 3 boys and wanting a girl so Bad, I wanted to know what sex my last baby was. They said 99,0% that it was a girl. I said I'd believe it when I see it. Well, my last child was a girl and I had my tubes tied after that.

My husband didn't want to find out, but i did. I waited until i had a scan at 32 weeks and found out then, as my husband didn't want to know what we were having (he knew that i found out though) I didn't tell anyone that I had found out (just so they wouldn't accidentally tell him). Everyone kept asking "so, do you know what your having?" and i would always say "no".
I liked knowing that i was having a little boy and that no-one else knew. My sister still hasn't forgiven me!LOL

I have 3 children. I didn't find out ith my first. But the next 2 I decided to find out. It made it easier to plan, buy clothes, etc. Telling the sex by ultrasound is never 100% though.
