I'm looking for a plant to keep in my bedroom. Even though I like the smell of basil I don't think I'd like to smell it for hours in my bedroom. Will the plant smell stronger the larger it gets? Thanks in advance.

IT DOES HAVE A VERY STRONG SMELL, BUT WHEN YOU WALK IN YOUR ROOM YOU WONT SMELL THE BASIL. IF YOU ARE NEAR IT YOU MAY SMELL IT,BUT IT NORMALLY DOESNT GIVE OFF A LARGE SMELL. IF YOU RUB THE LEAVES THEN YOUR FINGERS WILL SMELL LIKE BASIL.

if you're cooking a soup,a pinch of basil could make a few litres soup change its smell.

A question that can only elicit a subjective answer. Kinda depends on your own personal sniffer and opinion.
