I just can't figure out how much this is. I only saw this from a certain website. I think it's British English but I'm greatly used with the American English. This is just like when you say it's 40 hundred when it really means 4 thousand. Please help me with this. I really need to know ASAP. Thx y'all ^_^

400,000 million is 400 billion in North America but only 0.4 billion in Britain!

Billion has two different meanings, depending on which side of the pond you are. In much of the world, including North America, a billion is 1000 million. In fact, each 1000 units of one named number (i.e. million, billion, trillion, quadri.....) forms a unique name, i.e. 1000 million is a billion, 1000 billion is a trillion, 1000 trillion is a quadrillion and so forth.

But in jolly old England, one needs 1,000,000 million before one has a billion. So a billionaire is quite the wealthy person in Britain!

4 00 000 000 000
four hundred thousand million

that would be 400 billion.

Maybe easier if you know that 4 million million is 4 trillion so 4 hundred thousand million is 10 times less which is 400billion.
