each word = 4 bytes. ==> 2 words = 8 bytes

1 character = 1 byte

So it depends how many letters are in the word

literally the term '2 words' would take 7 bytes to store

Sounds like a homework question. A word does not describe an actual English language word (as typing's WPM counts number of letters typed and divides by 5). As for the answer, I do not recall. Look it up, perhaps.

Are you speaking of 'words' as ASCII as discussed above or:

Word vs nibble? Word is 16 bits while nibble is 4 bits, do the math.
