Alright, I think a hacker hacked into my laptop.. o.o

3 months ago, I was using my toshiba laptop one day and I was a download-junkie. Downloading random stuff for either, music or security. Anyways, the problem is that..
The last thing I remember is, I downloaded Internet Explorer 7, and I use Windows XP, anyways.. after that, there's this error from "Mcafee Anti-Virus" program that I downloaded saying, "Located Nod32 virus" or something like that, anyways.. when i wanted to scan my computer with mcafee, i think my trial ended. So, i downloaded another anti-virus program (Forgot what it was) and scanned my computer.. and there were alot of stuff but i don't think it was viruses.. it said files like "boot.xfl" or "startup" something like that. I mean alot.. after it finished scanning, IT DELETED ALL MY FILES AUTOMATICALLY and I think that my laptop Shut down and when i open it back up.. it just asks for a username & pw. my LAPTOP ISN'T SET LIKE THAT.

Whats the problem?!

Simply bring your laptop back to toshiba for repair. This save you a lot of money.

there was a problem between the mcafee and the Nod32. you said that when the trial ended for the mcafee, you downloaded another but you forgot. so first, why not check your PC which antivirus is running now? coz if am not wrong, maybe the NOD32 is active and your mcafee was not completely deleted from your PC registry, hence there was a complication. basing on what you said here, i don't think that a hacker had hacked your computer coz this is not the way how the hacker will do (i know for sure -wink). and maybe you had hit something that had asked if you want a username and password to be entered everytime you will use your PC but without your knowledge that you had hit it since there were lot of stuffs that time activating. restart your PC in safe mode and enter as administrator, see there if something had been removed or changed, and check it with usual usage of the PC if it's all completely different or not. then restart it in normal mode, and try to figure it out one by one where the problem lies.
+lastly, if you are not sure what you are doing, i highly recommend you to contact the technical support of toshiba (are you in Japan?). they will fix it within one week i suppose.
