Changing over to the open-book examination system would be a solution to most of the defects found in India's examination system, the principal defect being cheating in the examination.

Evaluation:
Apart from that, perhaps we should do away with the system of awarding marks and resort to the grading system, as is the practice in almost all the developed countries. That would do away with the differences between different universities/boards across the country.
