Log into the router configuration page through your browser as described in the manual. Go to wireless security and set an encryption key. You will then need to use the wireless utility for each machine's card to find your network, set a matching key and connect. If you change the encryption using a wireless machine it will lose connection after you save the router changes. Better is to use a wired machine if you have one.

once you log in to your router from your internet browser it pretty much walks you through it. i have a linksys router and you just type in: 192.168.1.1 into your internet browser, type in a network name which others wil be able to see (they would still need a password to log in to your network). do not make it your address or anything like that. then set it to WEP key. type in a word that will be your key but not the "password" if you click generate....it gives you a realllllly long series of numbers and letters. SAVE IT!!! enter in that information and you are set! sorry ths is pretty brief. i recommend reading any material your router came with if you are confused.

Login to your router settings, go to wireless settings, chose WPA-PSK as the encryption and chose a secure password to use.
Also, go to adminstrator settings or setup settings and change the default router username and password.

Try to visit the following web-page http://www.infosec.gov.hk/engtext/itpro/sectips/wireless.htm and click on the tips for end-user.

However WEP is very totally outdated. It is replaced with WPA plus EAP or even more advanced encryption protocol. Check your manual.
