How did Tibet react to Western, ahem Chinese occupation in the 20th century?

Do any Tibetans exist today to tell us about it?

A few still live. The deafening silence about the CHinese occupation of Tibet is really shocking.

I guess that in order to show it's support for human rights the "west" will keep sending goodies to China, grant them another Olympiad, maybe even a NObel peace prize.

Then one day- and not very distant IMO- they just might wake up with a chinese army boot on their faces
