I personally prefer a sound without vibrato, like Sara Carter's voice. Many of the commerical country singers nowadays sound like they are trying to be R & B crooners, and it sort of sounds foolish. What do you think?

I do not know what you mean by vibrato as a vibrato is when a guitarist vibrates the strings . If I were to Guss at what you mean based on your question,, I think you mean singing Harmonie (a technique used in R&B) so to answer your question with this assumption my answer is.

In country you do not want to sing harmony because it dose not match the style the best vocal effect for country is cracking your voice as it adds that believability to the song

I hope you are not confusing R&B with Blues as so many people do there is a big difference between R&B and Blues

I love the Blues and Hate R&B (they are two totally different styles of music)raw music is the best
