I'm from both places, and though NY has all the money, Boston is where the front runners are.

hello: The Sox are the World Series Champs AND the Pats are STILL undefeated.. not to mention the Celts are #1 right now.

come on now!

Boston, of course....

The Patriots have more wins than the Jets & Giants combined this year...

The Sox are world champions... The Yankees lost in the first round even after spending all that money on players, and the Mets had a historical collapse at the end of the season to miss the playoffs.

Celtics are 20-3, while the Knicks give you the three ring circus of Dolan, Isaiah, and Starbury...

And Bostons Division 1A Football team, the BC Eagles, finished a respectable 2nd place in a BCS conference (and a southern conference where road games were all far away and full of rabid fans like at Clemson), and New York..... oh, wait, they don't HAVE a Division 1A team.... :)

Currently Boston is the number 1 sports city in the USA.

Red Sox current World Series Champions
Celtics - off to the best start in team history, which is no small feat.
Patriots - current undefeated and on track to another Superbowl championship.
Bruins - having a good season, but not to the historic levels of the other local teams.

Boston College football team was ranked #2 in the college football rankings at one point in the season, however they fell off at the end of the season. Matt Ryan, BC QB is considered to be a top 5 draft pick in the 2008 NFL draft.

a million) Detroit 2) Minnesota 3) Buffalo 4) Boston 5) Philadelphia 6) long island 7) New Jersey 8) Colorado 9) Chicago 10) St Louis Basing this off of ways the followers react to their communities. the different cities are not as hockey mad as those factors are. LITY - the place did you detect those rankings at? I observed completely distinctive numbers on ESPN and Forbes. they have the Leafs, Rangers, and Wings as suitable 3. And in followers Espn confirmed for the 2008-2009 season Chicago, Montreal, and Detroit. And the 2007 Anaheim sequence between them and Ottawa replaced into the backside rated of all time for television.
