If you are trying to be able to use your Telephone at the same time as your Dial-Up internet you have to have 2 seperate phone lines (two different #'s) That's the only way to do it unless you pay for DSL or some other Broadband service.
With Dial up you can't use the phone at the same time.
Just doesn't work.

You need something called a you need multi link and a multi plexor to do it. This device makes two modems act like one.

Why would you want to use both the modems simultaneously?

You can't use them together, they need 2 different connections which can not combine their services. Attempting this often prevents either working correctly.
